Allison Mathis. About

Allison Mathis, a senior nearing graduation from Southern Utah University Spring of 2017 will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance Performance and a minor in Graphic Design.  

Allison is originally from Spanish Fork, Utah.  She lived there all her childhood and then moved around the state as she began college.  Allison attended Snow College in Ephraim Utah where she obtained her associate degree.  Following her studies at Snow she transferred to the University of Utah to study modern dance.  After a year attending the U, Allison took a break from school to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New England area.  She served as a missionary for 18 months.  Upon returning from her volunteer service, she transferred down to Southern Utah University to finish her degree. 

Allison is passionate about many things.  One of the things she is most passionate about is dance.  Dance has been something she has learned she cannot live without.  It is a way she has found she can best express herself and truly feel something.  With this passion in dance her hopes and aspirations are to teach and choreograph.  

Allison also has a great love for other visual arts.  Having studied graphic design as a minor in college, she broadened her love and understanding for using various mediums to showcase and express emotion through art.  She hopes to use both dance and graphic design in her career pursuits.

Last but most certainly not least, Allison is most passionate about her family. Coming before anything else in her life, her family is her greatest priority and her ultimate source of life and joy.
